Bio:

Shaun Brady — Mitre Over the last 35 years, Dr. Brady has been fortunate to play leadership roles helping some of the world's largest financial institutions deliver new products and services, efficiently meet evolving regulatory requirements, identify and monetize data, and implement a variety of technical solutions that balanced risk, innovation, and cost. He spent the first 15 years of his career in the financial sector progressing through management roles in credit analysis, lending, and servicing which culminated in leading the mid-Atlantic and S.E. United States operations of one of the world's largest and oldest banks. Having experienced firsthand the value of helping bridge the "translation gap" between business and IT/Data executives, Dr. Brady spent the next 15 years building and running consulting practices and information sharing public-private partnerships focused on helping financial institutions find ways to strategically leverage technology and data to grow and protect their organizations. Over the last five years, his focus has been working with the government and private sector to build on the strengths each can bring to bear to protect the integrity and improve the resiliency of one of the nation's most critical infrastructures - the financial system. Dr. Brady has a B.Sc. in International Finance from San Francisco State University, and a Masters in Management Information Systems and Doctorate in Risk Management from the University of Maryland. He is a frequent speaker and author on the topics of data monitization, regulatory policy, and risk management. He holds a US Patent on the collection, anonymization, and sharing of confidential data over the internet, and has a patent pending on a new method for managing the credit risk life cycle.
