9th: DAMA-NCR Chapter Meeting
This meeting will include three presentations
• “Converting from Logical to Physical:
Discussion of the Issues” by Manan Shah
This presentation will look at the transition going from a logical model
to a physical model, but also placing some emphasis on how to keep everything
synchronized on both sides with the CA tool ERwin. New release features
will also be covered.

Version Three of the DAMA Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK)
is available for download on the
DAMA International website.
This
version contains many key improvements as well as updates based on membership,
industry and DAMA DMBOK committee participant collaboration and feedback.
These include key enhancements to the functional framework “wheel”
itself, and outline. This latest English version will soon be available
in Spanish, Chinese and French.

BPM Beta Exam Available to DAMA Chapter Members
The new BPMI / DAMA / ICCP Business Process Management (BPM) exam is
now ready for beta testing at no charge. If any DAMA-NCR chapter members
would like to take the test at the September 8th meeting, please notify
the VP of Programs. Our chapter
will contact the ICCP office at 847-299-4227 or 800-843-8227 (phone),
847-299-4280 (fax), or office@iccp.org
to have testing materials sent to a proctor. The ICCP office handles
the exam administration for all Certified Data Management Professional
(CDMP) exams.
